Phil O'Reilly – Chief Executive
Phil O’Reilly is Chief Executive of BusinessNZ, New Zealand’s largest business advocacy group, representing thousands of businesses of all sizes. The BusinessNZ group includes four large regional business associations, the Major Companies Group, ExportNZ, ManufacturingNZ, more than 70 affiliated industry associations and BuyNZ Made.
New Zealand Listener magazine voted Phil 3rd on the Power and Influence List of 2009, Business and Economy, describing him as, “one of the most effective lobbyists we have seen in a long time.”
Internationally, Phil represents New Zealand employers at the International Labour Organisation, contributes to the governing body of the ILO, and is a delegate to the Business & Industry Advisory Council of the OECD.
Nationally, Phil chairs the Government’s Capitalising on Research & Development Action Group, the Redundancy and Employment Transition Advisory Group; is Joint Chair of the NZ Workplace Health & Safety Council; and is a board member of the Foundation for Science, Research & Technology and the Royal Society of NZ, and serves on a number of other Ministerial and advisory groups.

Catherine Beard – Executive Director
Catherine Beard joined BusinessNZ in January 2010 to head up its ExportNZ and Manufacturing sectors.
The dual role involves overseeing considerable changes to our services as we expand our manufacturing and international trade functions. These will be reflected in our online presence and training.
Catherine has a wealth of experience in government relations and communication on behalf of industry associations, and is a champion for New Zealand manufacturers and international traders.
Catherine comes from the Greenhouse Policy Coalition where she was Executive Director providing strong advocacy on behalf of industry to communicate their business challenges to politicians, policy makers, the media and the public.

Bruce Robertson – ExportNZ Hawkes Bay
Bruce is the Regional Manager for ExportNZ, an executive member of the NZ / China Trade Association and consults to a number of local companies on their export development.
Bruce was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and also to the Advisory committee of the Eastern Institute of Technology’s School of Business.
Bruce was awarded a Winston Churchill study Fellowship in 1986 and a Trade New Zealand Export Commendation award in 1994.

Jess McKendry – ExportNZ Wellington
Jess joined ECCC in August 2010 and became part of the ExportNZ team in March 2011. Alongside her role in the International team at ECCC, she is responsible for promoting exporter interests in Wellington.
Jess completed a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Economics and a Diploma in Languages in 2010 from the University of Otago, and spent time at the ESADE School of Business in Barcelona. Her time overseas gave her an even greater interest in global and export markets.

Sarah Lincoln – ExportNZ Otago-Southland
Sarah organises Employers' events and training and development programmes. She is also responsible for our ExportNZ, She's Motivated and Business Mentors business initiatives.
Sarah completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago in 2009, majoring in Marketing and Management. Since then Sarah has been working at a local recruitment agency where she effectively helped candidates through the registration process and was well respected with the clients she had contact with. Sarah still keeps her finger on the pulse in the recruitment industry as an Account Manager for an innovative on line recruitment tool, QJumpers.
In April 2010, Sarah joined the Otago Southland Employers’ Association.
