Indonesia joins Free Trade Agreement
Date Added: 9th January 2012 from ExportNZ
Indonesia has become the final country to join the Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.
Export New Zealand's CEO Catherine Beard says Indonesia will play a significant role in boosting trade, with a GDP that's expected to soar over the next few years.
She says Indonesia's role will open many doors for New Zealand businesses.
Catherine Beard says the agreement, which will allow tariff free access to over 90 percent of New Zealand goods and services by 2015, will make for faster trade transactions.
Our main exports to Indonesia include frozen meat, dairy products, fish, as well as chemical wood pulp and malt extracts.
