I have been with IVS for almost 3 years now, initially employed to carry out compliance reporting for our timber testing lab. I was soon involved in certificate of origin and phytosanitary certification and I become the Certification Team Leader. From there my position continued to expand to include auditing of our forestry export and biosecurity treatment clients. Since the beginning of 2019 my roll has encompassed Programme Leader of certification, quality management, co-ordination of the COO programme and auditing, with some timber reporting still thrown in from time to time.
Prior to IVS, for 15 years I was a Research Associate in the Soils Programme with Plant and Food Research in Lincoln, followed by a brief stint as a Lead Assessor with IANZ (International Accreditation New Zealand).

  • Manukau Institute of Technology: Allyson Wood, Senior Lecturer

Allyson has more than 20 years’ experience in the supply chain management. This includes Shipping Management, Warehousing and Procurement roles within the New Zealand gas and engineering supplies sector. Allyson is a licenced Customs Broker working in the Freight Express Industry for over 10 years. Allyson has CIPS, CILT, WISTA, CBAFF membership and ISM academic membership.

  • First Global Logistics: Rachel Madden, Branch Manager

After returning from a period working for freight forwarders in the UK, Rachel has worked in Freight Forwarding and Logistics in New Zealand since 2007. The last ten years as senior manager and shareholder in First Global Logistics which is the largest privately New Zealand owned E-Commerce Logistics provider. As one of the few senior female executives in the industry she brings a different and fresh approach to current issues facing our industry as well as being involved in exciting new directions in both E-Commerce and Blockchain technology. This year Rachael was proudly appointed a Vice President of Customs Brookers & Freight Forwarders Federation of New Zealand (CBAFF).

  • Air New Zealand Cargo: Greg Edmonds, Export Channel Manager

Greg joined the Air New Zealand in 1994 and has worked almost exclusively alongside New Zealand’s exporters for the past 10 years. Greg is part of a wider Cargo team of 320 dedicated to supporting the movement of international freight. His current role has seen him occupy positions on the Canterbury Regional Advisory Committee together with the Export New Zealand Executive and has performed judging duties in the annual ExportNZ  Awards for the last 5 years. He has a passion for exporting and believes that a strong and successful export community is critical to Air New Zealand’s success, our business partner’s success and the continued success of the country.
