Join us at this event to hear why doing business in Canada is a smart move.
With a strong, stable, dynamic economy, world-class infrastructure and leading-edge research and development, Canada is attracting global attention as a great place to do business. Canada’s business-friendly environment is built on world-class cities that consistently rank as the best places to live, work and play.
With the background of the recent Comprehensive Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) entry into force, we invite you to hear Canadian speaker, serial entrepreneur and investor, Peter van der Gracht, discuss the benefits of Canada as a business destination with a focus on technologies and innovation.
Peter van der Gracht is a successful start-up veteran, with over thirty years of experience leading companies through multiple financings, operational build-outs, acquisitions, mergers and buy-outs.
Peter has in the past or is currently, chairman, director, consultant or investor of over twenty for-profit organizations. Peter also supports the following not-for-profit organizations. Wavefront, Canada’s wireless business accelerator, Entrepreneurship@UBC, a University of British Columbia seed-stage investment fund and program and Alacrity Foundation, a not-for-profit start-up foundation.
In the past, Peter supported two Federal Government activities, a member of the Science, Technology and Innovation Council and he was the Global Industry Advisor for Global Affairs Canada.
Peter holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is the recipient of multiple awards for entrepreneurship.
The event is organized in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada in Wellington and the Consulate and Trade Office of Canada in Auckland.
