Before taking up his current role in 2018, Mr. Srisamoot was most recently the Director-General of Thailand’s Department of International Economic Affairs. He has held a variety of senior public sector roles, and has held diplomatic posts in Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Canada, Switzerland, and the Philippines.

Thailand is the second largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), enjoying a strategic location that provides easy access to a larger regional market of more than 600 million people. It has ample resources, has long been known for its open and business-friendly economy, and is solidifying its position as a regional connectivity hub.
