Thailand: The Hub of Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (SEA CAPE), the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington, and ExportNZ cordially invite you to a public seminar on Thailand 4.0 by Thailand Deputy Permanent Secretary Arthayudh Srisamoot.

Before taking up his current role in 2018, Mr. Srisamoot was most recently the Director-General of Thailand’s Department of International Economic Affairs. He has held a variety of senior public sector roles, and has held diplomatic posts in Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Canada, Switzerland, and the Philippines.

Thailand is the second largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), enjoying a strategic location that provides easy access to a larger regional market of more than 600 million people. It has ample resources, has long been known for its open and business-friendly economy, and is solidifying its position as a regional connectivity hub. To remain competitive, Thailand has launched “Thailand 4.0” to drive its growth through innovation, technology, research and development, and creative thinking, with the ultimate aim of developing Thailand into a high-income economy.
